Annual Public Speaking Coaching: Supporting the Next Generation

Public speaking confidence is not an innate gift; it is a muscle that must be trained, especially in young people. Morley Consulting offers a structured annual program of 16 sessions of 2 hours for ages 7–18.

An evolving program in 8 modules

Phase 1: Breaking the Ice and Discovering Potential (Months 1–2)

We begin with body awareness. For Kids, this includes mime games and breathing exercises. For Teens, we immediately introduce posture and stage presence.

Phase 2: Diction and Structure (Months 3–4)

Here we work on form. Improving articulation, varying pace, and learning how to structure ideas. Teenagers learn how to build a powerful introduction and a memorable conclusion.

Phase 3: Narration and Storytelling (Months 5–6)

Learning to tell stories to captivate. We use the “Story Bag” to stimulate spontaneous imagination. Students learn to turn a simple fact into an engaging story.

Phase 4: Leadership and Debate (Months 7–8)

The final stage of the program. Students practice:

  • Improvisation on unprepared topics.
  • Structured debate: defending their viewpoint and respectfully challenging others.

Final Evaluation

The program concludes in May with a presentation in front of an invited audience to validate achievements and celebrate each child’s speaking transformation.
